Finca Comassema - A hidden world in the mountains

This one requires a commitment. After a 50-minute drive from Palma you find yourself 500 metres above sea level, surrounded by mountains and ancient olive trees, with the sound of sheep bells in the distance. The venue offers a bedroom to put your dress on, but as the videographers we would suggest getting ready in a hotel nearby to have more space and light, especially if your bridesmaids will be getting ready with you.

Comassema is located in Orient, a small village deep in the northern Tramuntana range - UNESCO World Heritage Site - and is a traditional Mallorcan possessió dating back to the conquest of 1229. The open cobblestone courtyard with views over the Orient Valley, a huge functioning safareig - a utility water deposit so huge that it even has carp fish in it – and the Mediterranean garden create a setting that feels ancient, authentic and completely unique.

Our personal favourite as wedding videographers is the dining area with the tables placed around the fountain.

The distance from Palma is real and transportation need to be planned carefully so all the guests are there for the ceremony and everyone can get back to their hotels after the party. Don't rely on the taxis and Ubers because they are very limited in Mallorca.

But for the right couple there is nowhere else quite like it.
